A Kitchen Appliance Company Is Set To Launch AI Glasses

According to a report by "Blue Whale Technology" on August 25, Robam Appliances is developing a new generation of AI cooking glasses, with an official launch expected next March. Unlike the first-generation model—which was intended solely for offline experiential demonstrations—this new version is slated for actual commercial sale to consumers.

The initial AI cooking glasses debuted at the Appliance & Electronics World Expo (AWE) in 2026, garnering industry attention by being marketed as the "world's first AI cooking glasses." However, that earlier model was merely a demonstration of a technical concept, with no plans in place for mass production.

Reportedly, the upcoming next-generation product incorporates significant, practical optimizations addressing the pain points of the initial prototype. The device is lighter than the 89g demonstration model, substantially reducing facial strain during prolonged wear. The display has shifted from full-color to a monochrome mode better suited for kitchen environments, and the design features a swappable battery system; this lowers overall power consumption and eliminates concerns about battery life during extended cooking sessions, effectively clearing the path for mass production.

Regarding software and the ecosystem, the new product fully integrates Robam Appliances' proprietary "Shi Shen" (Culinary Expert) large language model—the first vertical-domain model in the kitchen appliance industry to secure the "triple certification" of safety, algorithm, and large model filings. It also incorporates AI algorithms tailored for kitchen scenarios and logic for interconnectivity between appliances, developed by Robam Appliances' Chengdu-based algorithm team.

Furthermore, reports indicate that the company attaches great importance to this product, as it forms a key part of the "embodied AI" ecosystem the company is currently building. Robam Appliances has already established an embodied AI laboratory to conduct data collection, algorithm model research, and hardware development tailored to the kitchen environment; its list of partners includes various embodied AI enterprises such as Alibaba Cloud, Ziyuanbianliang, and Lingxinqiaoshou.

The AI ​​eyewear sector is currently experiencing rapid growth. According to the latest data from RUNTO Technology, sales volume across all channels in China's smart eyewear market reached 909,000 units in the first half of 2026—an 85.5% year-on-year increase. However, the vast majority of products focus on general consumer use cases, leaving a gap in the market for mass-produced AI glasses specifically designed for the vertical niche of cooking. The launch of this product by Robam Appliances marks the entry of AI eyewear from the realms of general entertainment and office work into the high-frequency, essential scenario of the home kitchen.

As of press time, Robam Appliances has not yet issued an official response regarding this matter. Nevertheless, with the launch date approaching next March, the industry is eagerly anticipating another landmark solution for the AI ​​era of kitchen appliances.
